Understanding Content Packs

Content packs are text files that define new drinks for the Drinks Brewer. They allow you to expand available beverages beyond the core options (Milk, Chocolate Milk, Fresh Water, Boiled Water).

File Setup

Create a .txt file and place it in /mods/ThirstMod/Content/. The file structure defines what ingredients create which drinks and how much thirst and saturation they restore. Refer to existing content pack examples in that folder to understand the format.

Brewing Your Custom Drink

Once your content pack is saved in the correct directory and the game is restarted, your new drink becomes available in the Drinks Brewer. Place the specified brewing ingredient, a glass bottle, and fuel into the brewer to craft it.

Expanding Further

You can also add drinks from other mods by creating content pack files that reference those mod items. This system lets you integrate thirst mechanics with any modded ingredients you have available, creating a personalized hydration system tailored to your modpack.
