Understanding Principles

Principles are the fundamental alchemical essences of matter—Sulfur, Salt, and Mercury. Extracting them from raw materials is your first major step into practical alchemy.

How to Extract Principles

1. Gather raw materials from the world. Common sources include ores, plants, and other natural blocks.

2. Craft or obtain an alchemical processing unit (one of the tall machines shown in the mod's screenshots).

3. Place your raw material into the processing unit.

4.** The machine will break down the material into its constituent Principles.

5. Collect the Principles that emerge. You'll receive Sulfur, Salt, and/or Mercury depending on what you processed.

Tips

• Different materials yield different Principle combinations. Experiment to learn which materials are most efficient for the Principles you need.
• Processing takes time; set up multiple units to speed up production.
