Getting Started in the Scorched Biome

Finding and Starting Your Quest

Locate the Scorched Biome while exploring your Overworld—you'll recognize it by its dark volcanic terrain, basalt formations, and magma pools replacing normal grass and dirt. Once there, search for the Ashbound Forger NPC wandering the burned landscape.

Interact with the Forger to receive a task book. This book replaces traditional villager trades and instead guides you through objectives. Complete each listed task to unlock new quests and progress deeper into the mod's content.

Expect to encounter new biome-specific mobs like the Cinderling and gather unique materials such as Cinder Membrane. Explore the mysterious Ashbound structures scattered across the wasteland for valuable resources and loot. The environment itself is hostile—watch for magma and the altered sky, fog, and water colors that reflect the wasteland's extreme heat.
