Find Hot Springs and Lava Pools

Mineral deposits spawn naturally around geothermal features. Search for hot springs (steaming water blocks) and lava pools in volcanic biomes and underground caverns. These deposits are most common in areas with active volcanic activity.

Identify Deposit Blocks

Look for distinctive ore blocks clustered around thermal features. Common volcanic minerals include sulphur, salt, and saltpeter. These appear as colored veins or formations distinct from regular stone.

Mine Efficiently

Use a pickaxe appropriate to the deposit type—stone or better works for most volcanic minerals. Collect the raw ore blocks; they will drop as items.

Process Your Ore

Once mined, grind your volcanic minerals using a mortar and pestle or similar grinding tool to create powder. This powder can be used as fertilizer for crops or processed further depending on the mineral type.

Sustainable Harvesting

The mod regenerates mineral deposits over time in volcanic areas, so return to the same locations periodically for fresh resources. Mark successful mining sites on your map for future visits.
