Safely Transport Hot Liquids Without Taking Damage
Equip Insulating Gear
Before picking up any hot bucket or container, place an insulating item in your off-hand.
Mittens, tongs, or other heat-resistant equipment will protect your hands from burns and prevent the item from being automatically dropped.
Carry Your Hot Items
With protection equipped, you can now safely hold hot buckets, lava containers, or heated materials in your main hand. The insulating gear acts as a barrier between you and the dangerous temperature.
Monitor Durability
Your protective equipment takes damage with each use. Check the durability bar on your mittens or tongs regularly. Once they're too worn, craft or find replacements before they break completely and leave you unprotected.
Alternative: Use Containers
If you don't have insulating gear available, place hot items in furnaces, cauldrons, or other heat-safe blocks rather than carrying them. This avoids damage entirely while you gather materials for proper protection.
Watch for Melting
If items become extremely hot, they may melt into puddles or transform into new items. Keep hot materials away from flammable blocks and be cautious in enclosed spaces.
