How to Extract Salt from Salt Water

Salt is essential for food preservation and seasoning, but collecting it requires the right setup. This mod lets you extract salt by boiling salt water directly in a cooking pot.

Step 1: Collect salt water from ocean biomes using a bucket or barrel.

Step 2: Place a cooking pot on a heat source—a campfire, fireplace, or furnace works well. The pot must be directly above the heat block.

Step 3: Fill the pot with your salt water using a bucket or by right-clicking with the salt water container.

You'll see visual feedback as the liquid reduces. The boiling process takes time proportional to the amount of water.

Step 5: Once complete, collect the salt that remains in the pot. The pot can be reused for future batches.

Efficiency Note

Larger pots process more salt water at once but take longer to boil. Plan your salt production around your other cooking needs to avoid tying up your heat sources.
