Finding Cypress

Cypress trees grow in Terrestria's swampy and riparian biomes. Look for tall trees with buttressed roots and hanging moss. Chop the Cypress Log with any axe to start your wood set. Cypress Saplings drop from Cypress Leaves and can be replanted on dirt, grass, or Andisol to grow more trees.

Crafting the Full Set

Once you have Cypress Logs, craft Cypress Planks in a crafting grid. From planks you can make the standard wood family: Cypress Stairs, Cypress Slab, Cypress Fence, Cypress Fence Gate, Cypress Door, Cypress Trapdoor, Cypress Button, Cypress Pressure Plate, Cypress Sign, and Cypress Hanging Sign. Cypress Wood is made by combining four Cypress Logs in a square. Cypress Quarter Log is a decorative bark block for corners and pillars. Cypress Shelf is a storage block that holds items like a smaller chest. Cypress Boat and Cypress Boat with Chest are made with planks and a shovel or chest respectively.

Building Ideas

Cypress planks have a warm, slightly reddish tone that pairs well with Andisol and Volcanic Rock Bricks. Use Cypress Quarter Logs as corner posts, Cypress Shelves for compact storage, and Cypress Hanging Signs for shop fronts. The boat variants let you travel Terrestria's rivers and swamps while carrying cargo.
