How to Smelt Alloys and Use the Alloy Smelter

What the Alloy Smelter Does

The Alloy Smelter combines two or more metals into alloys, and can also smelt regular ores. It needs EU to run, so connect it to a generator or battery box before use.

Common Alloys

Typical recipes include:

  • Bronze — copper + tin.
  • Brass — copper + zinc.
  • Invar — iron + nickel.
  • Electrum — gold + silver.
  • Advanced Alloy — used for higher-tier machine frames and casings.

Output appears in the output slot.

Automating Alloy Production

Once you have steady power, automate the smelter:

1. Feed inputs with a hopper or item pipes from a chest.

2. Pull outputs into another chest or storage unit.

3. Use an Auto Crafting Table or Assembling Machine to chain alloy production into finished components.

Keep the smelter powered continuously — if EU drops below the required amount, progress pauses. A Battery Box between your generator and the smelter smooths out demand spikes.
