How to Get Started with Tech Reborn: Your First Machines

Gather the Basics

Tech Reborn runs on a few core materials. Mine tin, copper, lead, and bauxite ores, and smelt them into ingots. You will also need plenty of rubber (from rubber trees), redstone, and iron. Craft a Basic Machine Frame from refined iron plates and a machine casing, then combine it with a Basic Machine Casing and a circuit to build your first machine.

Your First Three Machines

Build these in order:

1. Generator — burns coal, wood, or other fuels to produce energy (measured in Energy Units, or EU).

2. Alloy Smelter — smelts ores and creates alloys like bronze and brass.

3. Electric Furnace — faster, more efficient smelting once you have power.

Connect machines with cables (copper or tin work for low voltage). Place the generator next to your machine and run a cable between them. Machines only accept power from the correct side, so check the machine's GUI for input/output faces.

Power and Storage

Add a Battery Box early to buffer energy so machines keep running when fuel runs out. Store EU in a Basic Storage Unit or portable batteries. Keep an eye on voltage tiers — feeding too much power into a low-tier machine will destroy it. Start with low-voltage (LV) setups and upgrade once you understand the system.
