Manage Grit in Extended Combat
Understand Grit Generation
Grit builds passively during combat at a steady rate, capping at two points maximum. You don't need to do anything special to generate it—simply stay in a fight and it accumulates. This means longer battles naturally give you more Grit to spend on powerful moves.
Strategic Spending
Decide when to use your Grit-powered attacks. Spending both points on a single Smash ability creates maximum impact but leaves you vulnerable while Grit rebuilds. Alternatively, use one point at a time to maintain offensive pressure while keeping some reserve.
Combat Pacing
Plan your fights around Grit cycles. Against weak mobs, you might spend Grit freely since it rebuilds quickly. Against tougher enemies or bosses, conserve Grit for critical moments—when you need a knockback to create space, or when you want maximum damage output.
Remember: using Smash while holding Grit launches you too. This can interrupt your attack flow if you're not careful, so position yourself where being launched won't put you in danger.
