How to Navigate the Tech Tree and Plan Your Research Path

Understanding the Interface

Open your Research Bench and examine the tech tree GUI. Nodes represent weapons, with lines showing prerequisites. Locked nodes appear grayed out; unlocked ones are highlighted. Each node displays its Scrap cost when you hover over it.

Using Search and Zoom

The tech tree is large. Use the search function to find specific weapons by name. Zoom in and out to see different branches clearly. The minimap in the corner helps you navigate without getting lost.

Planning Efficiently

Trace backward from weapons you want. If a gun requires three prerequisites, research those first. Some branches are independent—you can pursue multiple paths simultaneously if you have enough Scrap.

Tracking Progress

Your Blueprint Journal tracks completion percentage and shows guide tips for upcoming nodes. Check it regularly to see which weapons you've learned and what's available next. This helps you decide whether to save Scrap for expensive high-tier weapons or unlock cheaper mid-tier options first.
