Create a Perimeter Defense Line

Plan Your Defense Layout

Identify vulnerable areas around your base—entrances, bridges, or open courtyards. Space turrets so their firing ranges overlap to catch mobs trying to slip through gaps. Consider placing them on elevated terrain or walls for better sightlines.

Build the Turret Line

1. Place turret blocks at regular intervals along your perimeter

2. Optionally place chests beneath each turret for independent ammo supplies

3. Equip each turret with a gun—rifles and shotguns work well for area defense

4. Stock chests with appropriate ammunition types

Optimize Your Setup

Use different gun types for different roles: rapid-fire weapons for swarms, high-damage guns for tougher mobs like Ravagers. Position turrets to cover blind spots and ensure no approach path is undefended.

Test and Adjust

Watch your turrets during a mob wave to see if they're effective. If gaps appear in coverage, add more turrets or reposition existing ones. Check status lights regularly to ensure all turrets stay supplied and armed.
