Understanding Armor Levels

Tactical armor in this mod comes in seven different levels, each providing increasing bullet resistance and damage reduction. Higher-level armor significantly reduces incoming gunfire damage from both enemies and your own firefights.

Matching Armor to Your Threat Level

Start with lower-tier tactical armor and upgrade as you encounter stronger enemies. Early-game refugees deal minimal damage, so basic armor suffices. As you face mid-tier soldiers and special forces, upgrade to higher protection levels to survive sustained fire.

Armor Farming Strategy

Defeat high-level armed NPCs to obtain better armor pieces. Special forces and elite enemies wear top-tier tactical gear—defeating them yields the best armor drops. Collect multiple pieces to ensure you always have backup protection.

Balancing Mobility and Defense

Higher armor tiers provide better protection but may affect movement. Test different levels to find your balance between survivability and mobility. Keep upgraded armor equipped when facing dangerous enemies, and swap to lighter gear for exploration and resource gathering.
