Set Up an Ambush Against Enemy Patrols
Choose Your Ambush Location
Find a narrow corridor, doorway, or confined area where enemies cannot easily spread out or flank you. Buildings, canyons, and forest dense with trees work well. Avoid open fields where enemies can maintain distance and coordinate fire.
Prepare Your Position
Gather cover objects—crates, walls, or terrain features—that break enemy line of sight. Position yourself behind solid cover where you can peek out to shoot without exposing your full body. Stock ammunition and healing items nearby.
Exploit Enemy Blind Spots
Remember that enemies cannot see behind them. Approach from the rear of a patrol group if possible. If you must engage from the front, use cover to break their sightlines and force them to advance into your prepared killzone.
Trigger and Execute
Fire your first shot to alert the patrol. As they advance toward your position, they'll funnel into your ambush area. Use the terrain to control their approach and pick them off as they enter your field of fire. Reload behind cover between engagements.
Manage Reinforcements
If you're using a silenced weapon, fewer enemies will be attracted. Unsuppressed gunfire will draw additional patrols, so finish fights quickly or be ready to relocate.
