How to Use the Visualizer Alongside Extreme Sound Muffler

Why Pair Them

The visualizer shows you where sounds come from; a sound muffler lets you silence specific sounds you do not care about. Used together, you mute the noise you have already identified and keep the overlay focused on what still matters.

Combined Workflow

1. Play normally with both mods active and watch which cues appear most often.

2. For a recurring, unwanted sound (a machine hum, an ambient loop), add it to your muffler's muted list.

3. Confirm the cue for that sound stops appearing — the muffler removes the audio, and the visualizer no longer draws a cue for it.

4. Keep the visualizer running so the remaining, important sounds (mobs, alarms, rare events) stand out clearly.

When to Run the Visualizer Alone

If you only want to locate sounds without silencing anything, the visualizer works independently — no muffler required. Use it solo when you are diagnosing an unfamiliar noise and do not yet know what to mute. Once identified, add the muffler to suppress it permanently.
