How to Locate Noisy Machines and Blocks in a Modpack

Why Machines Are Hard to Pin Down

Modded contraptions — generators, processing blocks, and automated farms — emit constant sounds. In a large base these blend together, and you may not realize which block is the culprit. The visualizer separates them by showing a cue at each source.

Finding the Culprit

1. Walk slowly through your base and watch where cues cluster. A dense cluster usually marks a single loud machine.

2. Approach the cluster until the cue sits directly over a block. That block is the emitter.

3. If several machines sit together, temporarily break or disable one at a time and watch which cue disappears.

4. For redstone-driven noise, cut the signal and confirm the cue vanishes — that tells you the machine, not an ambient sound, was responsible.

Reducing Clutter

Once you identify loud blocks, relocate them away from living or storage areas, or wrap them in sound-dampening setups if your pack provides them. Fewer overlapping cues make the remaining ones easier to read, which helps both this mod and your own sanity.
