How to Find and Identify Forest Zones
Understanding Forest Biomes
Sylvan Timber Heart divides woodlands into three distinct zones: alpine forests (snowy, high-altitude areas with golden and dark trees), swamp forests (wet, low-lying regions with specialized flora), and normal woodlands (temperate mixed forests). Each zone spawns different tree species and has its own visual character.
Locating Each Zone
Alpine forests appear in mountainous or snowy regions and feature tall trees with distinctive coloring. Swamp forests grow in wet biomes near water with unique vegetation. Normal woodlands are the most common and spread across temperate terrain. Travel across your world to find all three—they're often adjacent to vanilla biomes that match their climate.
Harvesting Zone-Specific Trees
Each zone contains exclusive tree species. If you need a particular wood color or type, head to the appropriate forest zone. Old growth trees in these zones drop special log variants with balanced yields, making them worth seeking out for large building projects.
