How to Place Mushrooms on Grass in Full Sunlight
What Changed
In vanilla Minecraft, mushrooms pop off the ground the moment light levels get too high. With this mod installed, that check is removed, so a mushroom placed on a lit grass block simply stays there. You do not need to craft anything, toggle a config, or hold a special item — the behavior is active as soon as the mod loads.
Steps
1. Gather mushrooms. You can pick brown and red mushrooms from caves, dark forests, or the Nether, or break existing ones with any tool (or your hand).
2. Pick a spot. Any solid, full block works: grass, dirt, podzol, mycelium, coarse dirt, and most other opaque blocks. The block must have a solid top face.
3. Place the mushroom by right-clicking the top of the block while holding it. It will sit flush like a flower.
4. Verify it survived. In full daylight it should remain exactly where you put it.
Things to Watch
- Mushrooms still need a solid block beneath them. They will not float or sit on slabs the way some plants do.
- If you break the block underneath, the mushroom drops as an item.
- Bone meal on a placed mushroom behaves as it does in vanilla, so keep that in mind if you want a single decorative piece rather than a cluster.
