Set Up a Server to Host Super Voxel Party

Server Requirements

Super Voxel Party requires specific server settings to function correctly. You must run a Vanilla 1.16.5 server—modded servers may cause compatibility issues.

Configuration Steps

1. Set view distance to 11 or higher in your server.properties file. This ensures all map areas load properly for all players.

2. Set spawn protection to 0. This prevents the spawn protection system from interfering with gameplay mechanics on the boards.

3. Apply the resource pack: Extract resources.zip from the map folder and configure it as your server resource pack. This provides the correct textures, sounds, and visual effects for minigames and boards.

4. Load the map as your world on the server.

5. Test with players: Invite exactly 4 players to verify all boards and minigames function as intended.

Troubleshooting

If minigames fail to load or boards display incorrectly, double-check that your server version is exactly 1.16.5 and that the resource pack is properly applied to all clients.
