Prepare Your Village for Harder Raids

Understanding Raid Changes

Raids in this mod are tougher than vanilla. Raid captains are stronger, and pillagers now shoot flaming arrows that can ignite wooden structures. Preparation is essential.

Defensive Building

Reinforce your village with non-flammable blocks like Stone Pillars, Snow Bricks, and Iron Grates. Replace exposed wood with these alternatives, especially around roofs and high points where flaming arrows are likely to land. Iron Grates also work as intimidating defensive barriers.

Combat Readiness

Stock up on weapons and armor before a raid triggers. Expect to face Zombie Hoard Leaders—mummy-like enemies that are significantly tougher than standard zombies. Bring healing potions and position yourself strategically.

Positioning

Use elevated positions and cover to your advantage. The stronger raid captain will push harder than vanilla captains, so don't rely on simple barricades. Keep villagers away from the edges of your settlement and clear sightlines for your own defense.
