Lighting Your Campfire

Campfires now spawn unlit when crafted. Before you can cook anything, you must light yours using either sticks or flint and steel. Right-click with these items to ignite it.

Available Recipes

Once lit, your campfire becomes a cooking station. New foods include pottage (a warm, hearty bowl), calamari (best after a fishing trip), and apple pie (a sweet dessert).

Gathering Ingredients

Pottage requires ingredients typically found around your campsite or farm. Calamari comes from squid caught while fishing. Apples for pie can be gathered from oak trees or found in the world. Plan your meals around what you've collected.

Campfire Placement

Place your campfire near your tent for an immersive camping experience. The unlit requirement adds a survival element—you can't just instantly cook. This makes campfires feel more like a real resource that requires setup and maintenance.
