Using Stone Formations for Building and Decoration

Harvesting Stalagmites and Stalactites

The mod adds stalagmites (floor formations) and stalactites (ceiling formations) in nearly every stone type: granite, deepslate, tuff, sandstone, and more. These are mineable blocks you can collect and repurpose.

1. Locate caves with natural stone formations

2. Mine the formations with appropriate tools

3. Collect the blocks for your inventory

Building with Stone Formations

Use harvested formations to:

• Create natural-looking cave interiors in your base
• Build decorative walls and pillars that match your biome
• Construct themed underground structures (dungeons, mines, caverns)
• Layer them vertically to recreate underground cave aesthetics

Resource Pack Compatibility

If you use a custom resource pack, the new stone shapes automatically match your pack's textures. This means your decorative formations will blend seamlessly with your chosen visual style, whether you prefer realistic, stylized, or fantasy aesthetics.
