Navigating Massive Underground Glaciers

Preparing for Glacier Exploration

Underground glaciers are large frozen structures that span multiple chunks. They contain ice pillars, blue ice blocks, and icicle formations. Before entering, equip yourself with:

• Proper lighting (torches or lanterns)
• Blocks for building bridges or escape routes
• Optionally, frost-resistant gear if the mod includes it

Traversing the Glacier

1. Descend into frosted caves in cold biomes to find glacier entrances

2. Move carefully across ice surfaces—they may be slippery

3. Use pillars and frozen walls as landmarks to avoid getting lost in the massive structure

4. Harvest blue ice and icicles if needed, but be aware they may have special properties

5. Watch for natural hazards like deep crevasses between ice formations

Finding Resources

Glaciers often contain unique frozen blocks not found elsewhere. Collect these for building projects or decoration. The scale of these structures makes them excellent for establishing underground bases or mining operations in cold regions.
