The core feature of Sturdy Trees Mod is that axes bypass the multi-hit breaking mechanic entirely. Using any axe restores the vanilla wood-breaking speed and behavior.

How to Use an Axe on Logs

1. Craft or obtain an axe (wooden, stone, iron, diamond, or netherite)

2. Hold the axe in your main hand

3. Left-click any log block

4. The log breaks instantly and drops as an item, just like vanilla Minecraft

5. Continue harvesting at normal speed

Getting Your First Axe

To avoid the tedious hand-breaking process:

• Punch leaves or use your hand on wood just enough times to gather a few logs
• Craft wooden planks from these logs
• Craft a wooden axe using planks and sticks
• Use this axe on remaining trees for efficient harvesting

Why Axes Matter

The mod essentially makes axe crafting a mandatory early-game step rather than optional. This creates a slight progression gate that makes the early game feel less trivial while remaining entirely fair and achievable.
