How to Make Structures Spawn Only on Flat Terrain or with Specific Surrounding Biomes

Why terrain and neighbor checks matter

Some structures look wrong when they generate on cliffs or in the middle of a biome they don't belong to. Structurify exposes terrain and biome-condition options so you can require flat ground or a particular mix of surrounding biomes before a structure is allowed to place.

Enabling flat-terrain placement

Open the structure's entry and look for the terrain or flatness condition. When enabled, the mod checks the height variation in the area before placing. If the ground is too uneven, the attempt is skipped and the structure simply won't appear there. This is ideal for structures that have no built-in terrain adaptation.

Requiring surrounding biomes

Some entries let you specify which biomes must be present nearby, not just at the placement point. This is useful for structures that should sit at a border — for example, only where a forest meets a plains biome.

Practical steps

1. Enable the terrain condition for the structure.

2. Add the required neighbor biomes if the option exists.

3. Save and reload, then explore fresh chunks.

4. If the structure becomes too rare, loosen the terrain check or reduce the number of required neighbor biomes.

Cautions

  • Strict conditions can make a structure effectively impossible in some worlds.
  • Existing chunks are unaffected; only new generation obeys the rules.
