How to Safely Loot a Structory Tower

Before You Enter

Structory Towers have no inhabitants, so you will not fight mobs that belong to the structure. However, the towers are abandoned and often dark inside, which means ordinary hostile mobs can spawn in unlit rooms and stairwells. Bring torches or another light source, and consider a shield in case you round a corner into a spawner-free but mob-filled room.

The vertical design is the real hazard. Towers are tall, and falling from an upper floor or an open edge is the most common way players die here. Carry blocks to patch gaps and to build safe ledges, and avoid sprinting near openings.

Looting Efficiently

Work from the bottom up or top down consistently so you do not miss floors. Check chests, barrels, and any storage blocks, but also look behind and under furniture, since loot is often tucked into corners. Many towers contain multiple loot containers spread across levels, so do not stop after the first chest.

Bring shulker boxes or an ender chest if you have them, because the combined loot from a full tower can exceed your inventory. If a tower sits near a Waystone, register it before leaving so you can return for anything you left behind.
