Structory is built around short, ambient storytelling rather than quests. The lore lives in the structures themselves and in the villagers who inhabit them. If you want to actually experience the narrative instead of just looting, slow down and read the environment.

Reading the Environment

  • Graveyards often hint at past events through the arrangement of graves and nearby ruins. Look for signs, banners, and named markers.
  • Cottages and settlements tell domestic stories: abandoned meals, broken furniture, or a single lit lantern can imply someone left in a hurry.
  • Fire towers suggest a watch or warning system — check the top for signs of recent use.
  • Boats may carry cargo or journals that imply trade routes or a journey.

Talking to Villagers

Villagers in Structory settlements carry ambient dialogue tied to their surroundings. Approach them and let them speak — their lines reference the place they live and give context to nearby structures. Don't immediately trap or relocate them; their dialogue is part of the experience.

Getting the Most Out of It

Explore on foot rather than flying past. Take screenshots or notes of interesting details, and revisit structures at different times of day — lighting changes how a scene reads. Because the mod receives seasonal themed updates, returning to old areas after an update can reveal new context or new structures nearby.
