Troubleshooting Stepping Not Working

Verify the Enchantment is Applied

1. Open your inventory and check your boots—look for the Stepping enchantment in the tooltip

2. Make sure the boots are actually equipped in your feet slot, not just in your inventory

3. Try taking a step up a block to confirm the mechanic activates

Common Issues

Stepping doesn't appear in Enchantment Table:

• You may not have enough experience levels (try level 20+)
• Enchant multiple pairs of boots to increase odds
• Refresh the table by adding more Lapis Lazuli

Stepping is equipped but not working:

• Ensure you're walking into a full block, not a slab or partial block
• The block must be exactly one block higher than your current position
• Try moving forward smoothly rather than jumping—Stepping replaces jumping

Conflict with other mods:

• If using Leap, remember it cannot be on the same boots as Stepping
• Verify Depth Strider and Frost Walker are working correctly alongside Stepping

If issues persist, try re-equipping the boots or creating a fresh enchanted pair.
