How to Get the Stepping Enchantment

Finding Stepping in the Enchantment Table

The Stepping enchantment is obtained the same way as other boot enchantments like Depth Strider. You'll need to use an Enchantment Table with sufficient experience levels.

Steps:

1. Gather experience points by mining, defeating mobs, or smelting items until you have enough levels available

2. Place your diamond boots (or other boots) into an Enchantment Table

3. Look through the available enchantments at level 20 or higher

4. Stepping should appear as an option—select it to apply the enchantment

Increasing Your Chances

If Stepping doesn't appear immediately, try these approaches:

• Use more Lapis Lazuli to refresh the enchantment options
• Enchant multiple pairs of boots to increase your odds
• Higher experience levels (30+) may show Stepping more frequently
• Consider using an Enchanting setup with bookshelves nearby to influence available enchantments

Once applied, Stepping will let you walk up full blocks without jumping, similar to how horses move over terrain.
