Creating Train Junctions and Branch Routes
Planning Your Junction
Decide where you want trains to split or merge. Mark the location and plan which direction each branch should go. Junctions work best on flat or gently sloped terrain.
Installing Track Switches
1. Place a Track Switch block at your junction point
2. Extend track in your primary direction (straight ahead)
3. Extend track in your branch direction (left or right)
4. The switch will automatically recognize both paths
Controlling Switch Direction
Track Switches can be toggled using redstone signals or manual interaction. When powered one way, trains follow the main line; when powered another way, they divert to the branch. Set up redstone logic or levers nearby for easy control.
Testing
Run a test train through your junction. Approach from different directions and toggle the switch to ensure trains follow the correct path. Multiple switches can be chained together for complex networks with many branches.
