Reading the Stealth HUD Circle to Stay Hidden
Understanding the Color Zones
The circular HUD around your crosshair is your primary tool for gauging detection risk. The ring changes color based on how visible you are to nearby enemies:
- White circle: You are completely safe. No monsters can see you from their current positions.
- Yellow circle: A mob is suspicious. They've noticed something unusual—a sound, movement, or partial visibility—but haven't confirmed your location yet.
- Red circle: You've been spotted. A monster has a clear line of sight to you and knows exactly where you are.
Using the Circle Strategically
Watch the circle constantly while moving through dangerous areas. If it turns yellow, stop moving immediately and crouch. Crouching reduces your visibility significantly. If it turns red, you have two options: run to a completely different hiding spot (mobs only search where they last saw you), or engage in combat if escape isn't possible.
Remember that the circle only shows threats within the mod's detection range. Always assume there could be mobs just outside your awareness, especially in caves or dense forests.
