Using StartInv to Survive Dangerous Spawns and Loading Screens

StartInv is not just a convenience — it is a safety net for situations where you would otherwise lose progress before you can even move. Knowing when it helps most lets you plan around it.

Situations Where It Saves You

  • Spawning into a mob-filled area or near lava after a long load.
  • Joining a server where you log in mid-combat or in a hostile biome.
  • Loading a heavily modded world where the client freezes for several seconds after the world appears.

In all of these, the invincibility window covers the gap between the world rendering and you gaining control.

Getting the Most Out of It

1. Set the duration long enough to cover your worst-case load time, but not so long that it trivializes early danger.

2. On servers, coordinate the value with admins so everyone benefits equally.

3. Combine it with a safe spawn point — StartInv protects you, but it does not move you out of danger.

What It Does Not Do

StartInv only prevents damage during the entry window. It does not grant permanent immunity, does not protect you after the timer ends, and does not stop environmental effects like falling into the void once the window closes. Treat it as a buffer, not a shield.
