How to Survive Your First Night with Stalker Creepers
Understand the Stalking Behavior
Stalker Creepers don't charge you like vanilla creepers. This means the usual "back away and hit it" tactic still works, but you have to be aware of your surroundings at all times. Listen for soft footstep
sounds behind you and watch for a creeper silhouette at the edge of your render distance.
Practical Steps for Night One
1. Build a small shelter early, before dusk. A simple dirt or cobblestone box with a door is enough.
2. Avoid wandering in the open after dark. Stalker Creepers thrive on players who move predictably in straight lines.
3. Keep a sword or axe in your hotbar at all times. When a creeper finally closes in, you want to strike it before it detonates.
4. Light up the area around your base with torches so you can see a creeper approaching from a distance.
5. If you hear a creeper but can't see it, stop moving and scan behind you. They often approach from the direction you just came from.
What Not to Do
Don't sprint blindly through forests or caves. Don't assume a creeper that isn't moving isn't a threat. And never stand still in the open while checking your inventory.
