Create Your First Stacked Block

Gather Lead and Your Target Block

Before you can compress blocks, you'll need lead. Mine lead ore and smelt it in a furnace to obtain lead ingots. Collect at least one lead ingot and gather eight of the block type you want to stack (logs, stone, cobblestone, netherrack, etc.).

Craft the Stacked Block

Open your crafting table. Place your lead ingot in the center slot, then arrange your eight identical blocks around it in the remaining spaces. This creates one compressed stacked block that takes up a single inventory slot but holds the data of all eight blocks.

Store and Use

Place your stacked block in a chest or your inventory. When you need to retrieve the original blocks, place the stacked block back in the world or use it as you would a normal block. The mod automatically handles decompression when needed.

Tip: Stacked blocks work best for bulk storage of common building materials. Plan ahead and create stacks before your chests overflow.
