Brewing Efficiently for Stackable Potions
Brew in Identical Batches
The whole benefit of Stackable Potions depends on your bottles being identical. If you brew one potion at a time with different ingredients or timings, you will end up with many tiny stacks that refuse to merge.
A Reliable Brewing Routine
1. Fill your brewing stand's water bottles in full batches so every bottle starts the same.
2. Add the base ingredient (such as Nether Wart) to all bottles in one operation.
3. Add the effect ingredient to the whole batch at once, then the modifier (glowstone or redstone) to the entire batch.
4. Never split a batch partway through — finish all bottles before starting a new effect.
5. Collect the finished potions and immediately shift-click them together into one stack.
Scaling Up
- Run several brewing stands side by side, each dedicated to one effect, so batches never get confused.
- Keep a chest of pre-filled water bottles near each stand to speed up refills.
- If you want both a strong and a long version of an effect, brew them as two separate full batches — they will form two clean stacks rather than a jumbled mix.
- Label your storage by effect and modifier so you always grab the right stack when restocking before a fight.
