How to Adjust and Smooth the Spyglass Zoom Level

Understanding the zoom controls

Vanilla spyglass zoom is a fixed, jarring snap. Spyglass Improvements replaces that with a smooth transition and lets you tune how far the zoom goes. The exact keybinds and slider names live in the mod's config screen, so open Mods → Spyglass Improvements → Config (or use the in-game config key if your mod loader provides one) to find them.

Changing zoom strength

1. Open the mod's config screen.

2. Locate the zoom multiplier / zoom level option. Increasing it makes distant objects appear larger; decreasing it gives a wider, gentler view.

3. If there's a separate smoothness or transition-speed option, raise it for a slower, cinematic glide into the zoom, or lower it for a snappier feel.

4. Save and close. Changes usually apply immediately, but re-equipping the spyglass guarantees the new values take effect.

In-game adjustment

Some builds expose scroll-wheel zoom while the spyglass is active — scroll up to zoom further in, scroll down to pull back. Test this by activating the spyglass and rolling the wheel; if nothing happens, the feature is config-only on your version.

Troubleshooting

If zoom feels stuck at one level, confirm you edited the right config profile (some mods keep separate client/server files) and that no other zoom mod is overriding it.
