Using Spring Flowers to Create a Diverse Flower Garden

Gathering Flower Variants

Spring Flowers Resource Pack adds five new visual variants to each small flower type in Minecraft. Start by exploring your world to collect flowers—dandelions, poppies, blue orchids, alliums, and azure bluets all receive additional texture variations.

When you break flowers with shears or your hand, you'll notice the same flower types now appear with different colors and patterns. Collect a variety of each species to maximize visual diversity in your garden.

Designing Your Garden Layout

Plan your garden by grouping flowers by type rather than by color. Since each flower type now has multiple variants, planting them together creates natural color gradients and visual interest without requiring different block types.

Use bone meal on grass blocks to generate flowers naturally, then selectively keep the variants you prefer. Mix flower types in clusters—for example, combine multiple dandelion variants with poppy variants to create a wild, naturalistic meadow aesthetic.

Tip: The resource pack is purely visual, so all variants function identically for crafting dyes and other recipes. This means you can prioritize appearance over mechanics when designing.
