Enchant Diamond and Netherite Spikes Efficiently

Prepare All Spikes Before Enchanting

Gather every Diamond or Netherite spike you plan to enchant and place them together. This is critical—enchanting spikes one at a time wastes enchanted books. Collect all the spikes you'll need for your farm in advance.

Apply Enchanted Books via Anvil

1. Obtain enchanted books with sword enchantments (Sharpness, Knockback, Looting, etc.)

2. Place a spike in the anvil's left slot

3. Place an enchanted book in the right slot

4. Combine them

5. Repeat for each spike in your prepared stack

Recommended Enchantments

Looting increases rare drops from mobs—essential for farms targeting specific items. Sharpness boosts damage output. Knockback can help control mob positioning in your farm.

Cost Consideration

Each book application costs experience levels. Doing this all at once minimizes waste compared to enchanting spikes gradually as you build your farm.
