Why Spikes Work Against the Wither

Netherite spikes are resistant to explosions and cannot be destroyed by the Wither's attacks. This makes them ideal for a controlled boss fight—your spike setup won't break mid-battle.

Build a Spike Trap Arena

1. Create an enclosed or semi-enclosed space where you can safely place spikes

2. Arrange Netherite spikes (preferably enchanted with Sharpness) densely around the arena floor and walls

3. Lure or summon the Wither into this space

4. The spikes will continuously damage it without being destroyed

Enhance Your Setup

Apply Sharpness enchantments to your Netherite spikes for faster damage output. You can also add Knockback to control the Wither's movement and keep it in your spike zone.

Safety Tips

Stay at a distance to avoid the Wither's direct attacks and projectiles. Let the spikes do the work—they deal significant damage and will defeat the boss in under a minute with proper setup. Bring healing potions as backup.
