How to Move and Resize HUD Elements with SpiffyHUD

SpiffyHUD lets you reposition and resize vanilla HUD elements without touching any config files by hand. Everything is done through an in-game editor that overlays your current screen.

Opening the HUD Editor

Press the SpiffyHUD editor keybind (check your Controls menu if it conflicts with another mod) while in a world. Your HUD elements become selectable, usually highlighted with a border or handles. If nothing appears, make sure you are not in a menu screen and that the mod is actually loaded.

Moving and Resizing

Click an element such as the hotbar, health bar, hunger, or chat to select it. Drag it to a new position, or use the resize handles to scale it up or down. SpiffyHUD anchors elements relative to screen edges, so a hotbar moved to the bottom-center stays centered even if you change GUI scale. Use the anchor or alignment options in the element's settings panel to snap it precisely.

Saving Your Layout

When you are happy with the placement, confirm or save the layout in the editor. SpiffyHUD stores layouts per profile, so you can keep separate arrangements for different resolutions or playstyles. If an element ends up off-screen, reopen the editor and drag it back, or reset that single element to its default position rather than wiping the whole layout.
