How to Hide Specific HUD Elements in SpiffyHUD

Sometimes you want a cleaner screen: no crosshair clutter, no chat, no hunger bar during a challenge run. SpiffyHUD can hide individual elements instead of forcing you to disable the whole HUD.

Toggling Visibility Per Element

Open the SpiffyHUD editor and select the element you want gone, such as the hotbar, experience bar, or chat. In its settings panel there is a visibility toggle. Switch it off and the element disappears from your HUD immediately. This is per-element, so hiding the hotbar does not affect health or armor.

Using Conditions and Profiles

SpiffyHUD supports conditional visibility, meaning an element can show only in certain situations. You can set an element to appear only when a relevant value changes, or hide it while a screen is open. Combine this with profiles to build a "minimal" layout for recording and a "full" layout for normal play, then switch between them.

Recovering a Hidden Element

If you hide something and later cannot find it, reopen the editor. Hidden elements are still listed in the editor even when invisible in normal play, so you can select the entry and re-enable it. Avoid deleting elements entirely unless you are sure; toggling visibility is reversible, while deletion may require recreating the element from scratch.
