How to Pack and Carry Meals with Lunchboxes and Lunchbags

Lunchboxes and lunchbags let you carry prepared food with you so you can eat a varied diet on the move without filling your whole inventory with stacks.

Choosing a Container

There are three containers: the Lunchbag, the Lunchbox, and the Golden Lunchbox. They differ in how much they hold and how they behave. The lunchbag is the lightest option; the lunchbox holds more; the golden lunchbox is the premium version. Check each item's tooltip in-game for its exact capacity rather than assuming.

Packing Food

Craft the container you want, then open it like a backpack (use it while held). Place food items into the slots. The container stores the food, not the Food Book — keep the book separate or in another slot.

Eating From a Container

With the container in hand, you can eat directly from it, which is convenient during travel or combat. This lets you rotate through several different foods quickly, which matters because the mod rewards dietary variety.

• Fill containers with several different foods, not one stack, to keep variety up.
• The golden lunchbox is worth building once you have the materials, as it holds more.
• Empty and refill containers between trips so you don't carry spoiled plans.
