How to Configure the Mod's Food Variety Rules
The mod includes a configuration section that lets you adjust how strictly food variety is enforced. If the default is too punishing or too lenient for your playstyle, you can change it.
Finding the Config
Open the mod's configuration through your mod loader's config menu or the config file in your instance's config folder. The wiki's configuration section lists the available options; read the descriptions there before changing anything.
What You Can Typically Adjust
Config options generally control how much repeated foods are penalized and how strongly variety is rewarded. Some setups let you disable the penalty entirely for a more relaxed experience, or tighten it for a challenge run. Exact option names and values are documented in the config file itself — read the comments rather than guessing.
Applying Changes
After editing, save the file and restart the game (or reload the config if your loader supports it). Test by eating the same food twice and checking the
Food Book to confirm the behavior matches your setting.
Tips
- Back up your config before editing.
- If a change doesn't seem to apply, confirm you edited the correct config for the correct world or instance.
- On a server, the server's config governs behavior, not the client's.
