How to Configure Food Variety Requirements and Rewards
Server owners and pack makers often want to tune how many foods are needed and what players get. This mod exposes its variety thresholds and rewards through configuration, so you can adjust difficulty to taste.
Finding the Config
After the mod has run once, a config file is generated in the usual config location for your mod loader. Open it with a text editor. It contains the list of milestones, each pairing a required number of distinct foods with the reward granted when that count is reached.
Editing Milestones
Each entry defines how many unique foods trigger the reward and what that reward is. You can add entries to create more granular progression, remove ones you find too generous, or change the required counts to make variety harder or easier. Keep the format consistent with the existing entries so the file still parses correctly.
Applying Changes
Save the file and restart the game or server for changes to take effect. Because rewards are checked against the player's eaten-food count, lowering a threshold can immediately grant a reward to players who already qualify. Back up the config before large edits, and if you are unsure about a value, describe the change you want rather than guessing at numbers.
