Master the Jab and Charge Attack System

Understanding Attack Types

Spear Core Mod gives you two distinct attack styles. Jabs are quick, close-range strikes activated by left-clicking. They deal moderate damage and are ideal for rapid successive hits when enemies are nearby. Charge attacks are triggered by holding right-click, building power over time before releasing a devastating thrust.

Executing Attacks Effectively

For jabs, simply left-click repeatedly while facing your target. This works best when you're already in melee range. The attack connects based on your proximity and facing direction.

To perform a charge attack, hold right-click to build momentum. You'll see a visual charge indicator as power accumulates. Release right-click to unleash the thrust. Charged attacks deal significantly more damage and can knock back multiple enemies.

Momentum-Based Damage

Your movement speed directly affects damage output. Sprinting toward an enemy before attacking increases impact. This is especially powerful when charging—moving at high speed while thrusting multiplies your damage. Use terrain and sprint timing to maximize your approach speed before engaging.

Practice switching between quick jabs for crowd control and charged thrusts for boss-level threats.
