What Lunge Does

The Lunge enchantment is a built-in enhancement for spears that enables dash-forward movement during attacks. When applied to your spear, it lets you quickly close distance or reposition while striking, adding mobility to your combat toolkit.

Activating Lunge

Once your spear has the Lunge enchantment, perform a normal attack (jab or charge). During the attack animation, you'll dash forward in the direction you're facing. This happens automatically—no special input required beyond your normal attack command.

Tactical Applications

Use Lunge to close gaps against distant enemies without wasting time sprinting. It's invaluable for escaping dangerous situations—attack while moving away to create distance. In group combat, Lunge lets you reposition between targets without lowering your weapon.

Combining with Momentum

Lunge works synergistically with momentum-based damage. The dash adds to your overall movement speed, increasing your attack's impact. Charge a thrust, activate Lunge, and you'll cover significant ground while dealing enhanced damage. This makes Lunge essential for aggressive, mobile combat playstyles.
