Switching Between Melee and Ranged Combat

Equip Ranged Weapons

Spartan Weaponry provides ranged options including longbows, crossbows, and throwing knives. Keep these in your hotbar alongside melee weapons for flexible combat. Ranged weapons excel at controlling distance, softening targets before close combat, or finishing weakened enemies from safety.

Manage Your Inventory

Carry ammunition for bows and crossbows—arrows and bolts respectively. Throwing knives don't require ammunition but have limited durability. Organize your hotbar so you can quickly swap between a melee weapon for close encounters and a ranged tool for distance engagement.

Adapt to Encounters

Start dangerous fights with ranged attacks to damage enemies before they close distance. Switch to melee weapons once enemies reach you, then retreat and use ranged attacks again if you need breathing room. This hit-and-run approach works well against fast mobs or when outnumbered. Practice smooth weapon switching to maintain combat flow without fumbling through your inventory during fights.
