How to Open and Use the Sounds Mod Configuration Screen

Opening the config

Sounds Mod ships with an in-game configuration screen so you never have to hand-edit files. Open it from the mod list screen (the config button next to the mod entry) or via the standard config keybind if your mod loader provides one. Once inside, you will see categories for the different sound groups the mod adds, such as item interactions, block interactions, and UI sounds.

Adjusting a sound

Each entry in the list represents a sound event. Click an entry to expand it and you will typically find a toggle to enable or disable it, plus sliders or fields for volume and pitch. Turn a sound off if it feels distracting, or lower its volume so it sits under your music and other effects. Pitch changes let you make a sound feel heavier or lighter without replacing the audio file.

Dynamic behaviour

Because the mod can pick sounds dynamically based on the item or block type, some entries control a whole family of sounds rather than one clip. Changing the volume or pitch on those entries affects every sound that falls under that rule. If you only want to silence one specific interaction, look for the most specific entry in the list before disabling a broad category. After editing, close the screen; changes are saved automatically and apply immediately, so you can test by interacting with a block or swinging a tool.
