How to Use a Raft with Sophisticated Storage

Getting the Raft Variant

Rafts are the boat-like vehicle added for certain wood types. Sophisticated Storage In Motion supports them the same way it supports boats, producing a "%s Raft with %s" item. Craft a raft together with your chosen Sophisticated Storage block at a crafting table to get the combined item.

Once placed on water, the raft-with-storage works like the boat version: right-click opens the storage interface, and boarding lets you ride it. The storage block inside keeps all of its upgrades and contents.

When to Choose a Raft Over a Boat

• Rafts are useful in the same water contexts as boats but match specific wood aesthetics, so pick the raft if you want your mobile storage to blend with a particular build.
• The interaction is identical: open storage with a right-click, ride with the normal board action.
• Breaking the raft returns both the raft and the storage block, so you can swap between boat and raft variants freely.
• Because the storage block is the same object, any items you stored remain inside when you break and replace it.

If you already use rafts for travel, this lets you carry a full Sophisticated Storage inventory without switching to a boat.
