Batch Crafting with Your Backpack

The JEI Index Upgrade supports stack crafting, letting you create many items in one action.

How to Batch Craft

1. Open a crafting interface — Use a crafting table, workbench, or any terminal that supports recipe transfers.

2. Select your recipe — Browse JEI and find the item you want to craft in bulk.

3. Hold Shift and click the plus button — Instead of crafting a single item, the mod will move entire stacks of ingredients into the crafting grid at once.

4. Watch the transfer — Your equipped backpack will supply materials stack-by-stack. The mod prioritizes your normal inventory first, then searches your backpack.

5. Craft repeatedly — After each craft, you can hold Shift and click again to continue batch crafting until materials run out.

Tips

• This is especially useful for large building projects or mass production.
• The mod only pulls from equipped backpacks, not nested bags inside other bags.
• If you're connected to a storage network (AE2, Refined Storage, etc.), those systems are also checked for missing items.
